A little about me...
David Deedwania is an award-winning composer, sound designer, and pianist specializing in music and audio for film, video games, and immersive media. His work includes contributions to the Grammy award-winning soundtrack for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, as well as projects with Marvel and Disney featuring iconic characters such as Baby Groot and Loki. His music and sound design have been showcased at major global technology and gaming conferences, including E3, SIGGRAPH, and VRLA.
With over 25 years of experience as a pianist, a foundation in both classical and jazz traditions, and over 10 years of professional audio experience, David brings a deeply musical and collaborative approach to storytelling through sound. He is driven by a commitment to creating emotionally resonant experiences and meaningful artistic partnerships across disciplines.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Industry from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, where, in addition to his industry studies, he focused on composition and sound design for visual media. His specialized courses included film scoring, video game composition, jazz piano and improvisation, electronic synthesis, and more.
Since his senior year at USC, David has composed scores and served as Audio Lead for a wide range of independent films, animations, video games, and VR experiences. He developed a particular passion for virtual reality in 2016, recognizing its unique potential for immersive audio. He continues to explore innovative approaches to spatial sound and interactive music, believing that thoughtful audio design is essential to making virtual worlds feel truly alive.

I met David through a recommendation from a mutual audio design professor at USC who was my Master's thesis advisor. We collaborated on my MFA thesis "Inner Activity", where David played a key role as composer and interactive audio designer for a meditative virtual reality art installation. My experience working with David has been very positive and enjoyable - he is an enthusiastic and motivated musician and sound designer - open to exploring beyond his usual repertoire and delivering innovative compositions and mediations of our ideas for the piece.
